Nora Romanoff-Schwarzberg - viola

Violist Nora Romanoff-Schwarzberg has performed both as a soloist and as a chamber musician in prestigious venues and festivals such as the Musikverein and the Konzerthaus in Vienna, Salle Pleyel in Paris, DeSingel in Antwerp, Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow, Progetto Martha Argerich from Lugano, Salzburg Festival and many others.
As a soloist she has played with the Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana, the Zagreb Chamber Orchestra, the Bacau Philharmonic Orchestra, the Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra, the Irkutsk Philharmonic Orchestra and the Camerata Bariloche Argentina under the direction of Ion Marin, Alexander Verdernikov, Hobart Earle, Pierre Amoyal and Jacek Kasprzyk.
Her chamber music partners include outstanding musicians such as Mischa Maisky, Gabriela Montero, Renaud Capuçon, Andrey Baranov, Lilya Zilberstein, Lily Maisky, Sergey Nakariakov, Henning Kraggerud, Enrico Dindo, Martha Argerich and Ivry Gitlis.
Since 2013 she has been part of the LUX Ensemble, which deals with contemporary music for string quartet. As a member of the Lipkind Quartet, Nora has toured throughout Europe and the United States and has recorded two CDs.
She has held masterclasses in Israel, Norway, Bosnia and Erzogovina and in the United States and taught viola and chamber music at the AMADEUS school in Vienna between 2014 and 2018.
She currently teaches at AMP, the International Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna.
