Stefano Rossi – horn
Stefano Rossi was born in Brescia on 08/14/1994, he began playing the horn at the age of 7 in the band of his hometown and then studied at the Darfo BT conservatory, the Mantua Conservatory, the Royal College of Manchester and the ESMUC of Barcelona.
After his studies he began his career ranging in various musical fields such as orchestra, chamber music and soloism. He collaborates with conductors such as R. Muti, Z. Mehta, V. Petrenko, A. Nelsons, D. Harding, R. Chailly, FW Most, D. Gatti.
He collaborated with soloists such as M. Argerich, J. Wang, A. Lonquich, N. Altstaedt, I. Faust.
Among the symphony orchestras he collaborates with the BBC Philarmonic, Filarmonica della Scala, Sinfonia Varsovia, Teatro del Maggio musica fiorentino, Orchestra Mozart and many others.
Among the opera houses he collaborates with the Teatro alla Scala, Teatro Regio of Turin, Teatro Petruzzelli of Bari.
Among the chamber orchestras he collaborates with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, the Mantua chamber orchestra and the Munchner Kammerorchester.
For some years he has been dedicating himself to the natural horn and baroque horn, in fact he is first horn of the “Austro-Hungarian Haydn Philarmonie” orchestra and the Paris orchestra “le Cercle de l’harmonie”. Stefano also holds the role of horn teacher at the Martucci conservatory in Salerno.
