Trio Etèsio

The Etèsio trio was born in 2023 from the meeting, in Milan, of three musicians who recognized their common desire to explore the string trio repertoire. Starting from the knowledge of the great classics, the ensemble’s main interest is aimed at the period between the 19th and 20th centuries and in particular the work of those composers who have unjustly remained in the shadows compared to the canon imposed by official historiography.
The name “Etesio”, suggested by a famous aria from Verdi-Boito’s Fastaff, evokes the Mediterranean winds of the same name which, with their breath, invest everything they encounter with warmth. Similarly, the joy of making music together informs with enthusiasm each page of music that the three musicians find themselves interpreting by sharing knowledge, experience and sensitivity.
