Andrea Lucchesini – piano

Andrea Lucchesini attracted international attention at a very young age, and since the beginning of the 1980s he has played all over the world with the most famous conductors including Claudio Abbado, Daniele Gatti, Zubin Mehta, Myung-Whun Chung, Yuri Temirkanov, Fabio Luisi and Daniel Harding.
In addition to his solo and orchestral activities, Lucchesini has always paid great attention to chamber music, collaborating with highly prestigious partners and exploring with them the most varied areas of the chamber repertoire.
His extensive discography includes the complete live performances of Beethoven’s 32 Sonatas , Schoenberg’s Pierrot lunaire and Berg’s Kammerkonzert with Giuseppe Sinopoli and a wide selection of works for piano and cello recorded with Mario Brunello.
Reference interpreter of Luciano Berio’s music, Lucchesini recorded Concerto II “Echoing curves” with the London Symphony conducted by the composer, performed the world premiere of the Sonata (2001) and recorded all of Berio’s piano works for AVIE.
Trained at the great school of Maria Tipo, Lucchesini returns the musical gifts he received by teaching at important institutions, including the Fiesole Music School which he directed from 2008 to 2016. He is often invited to hold masterclasses and seminars at major international training institutions and coordinates the advanced training courses at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome.
With the same desire to share he welcomes the invitations of the Moritzburg Festival, Rome Chamber Music Festival, Krzyżowa-Music, Shangaj Music Festival , where the joy of thinking and making music together grows in the meeting between generations.
Academician of Santa Cecilia and the Roman Philharmonic Academy, he is currently artistic director of the Amici della Musica of Florence.
