Luca Bandini is a double bassist and music educator with a solid academic background. He graduated with honors from the “B. Maderna” Conservatory in Cesena and specialized in music education. He teaches at the Ravenna Conservatory and has a long artistic career developed within prestigious orchestras such as the Filarmonica della Scala, the National Symphony Orchestra of the RAI, the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, and the Chamber Orchestra of Mantua, collaborating with internationally renowned conductors including Claudio Abbado, Lorin Maazel, and Zubin Mehta.
He is also specialized in 17th- and 18th-century Baroque repertoire. In the field of early music, he plays the violone and collaborates with Accademia Bizantina under Ottavio Dantone, as well as with the Kammerorchester Basel.
