Marco Scolastra, who graduated with honors from the Conservatory of Perugia, further refined his studies with Aldo Ciccolini and Enrico Pastorino, as well as at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena.

He has performed for major institutions including the Accademia Filarmonica Romana, IUC (Istituzione Universitaria dei Concerti), the Teatro Regio di Parma, the Orchestra LaVerdi (Milan), the Festival dei Due Mondi, Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Teatro di San Carlo in Naples, and the Concerti del Quirinale, as well as at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory, the Tonhalle Zürich, the Musikverein in Vienna, and Carnegie Hall in New York.

As a soloist, he has been conducted by Yuri Bashmet, Carlo Boccadoro, Roberto Gandolfi, Howard Griffiths, Richard Hickox, and Lior Shambadal.

Among his artistic collaborators, both past and present, are Silvia Bergamasco, Stefano Brusco, Alessandro Carbonare, Raina Kabaivanska, Donata Mazzucato, Michael Milhofer, Elena Pandolfi, the Kodály Quartet, Luca Poli, Jerzy Radziwiłowicz, Christoph Siem, and Paolo Villoresi.

He has recorded for labels including Phoenix Classics, Stradivarius, Brilliant Classics, Decca, and RAI 5.
