Tommaso Beniamino Caprioli was born in Bologna in 2006 into a musical family. In 2017 he enrolled at the “G.B. Martini” Conservatory in Bologna in the class of Antonello Farulli. He later studied under Eleonora Poletti, and following an audition he was admitted to the violin class of Maurizio Sciarretta at the Accademia di Imola “Incontri col Maestro.” At the same institution he also studied string quartet with Maestro Antonello Farulli.

With the Quartetto Munari he has already performed for major Italian concert organizations. He has attended courses with Lenuta Ciulei, Roman Kim, Cristiano Rossi, and Markus Placci. Since 2023 he has been attending an annual advanced course with Dejan Bogdanovich, and from the same year he has continued his studies with Lenuta Ciulei. Since 2024 he has been studying with Guglielmo De Stasio at the “G.B. Martini” Conservatory in Bologna.

Since 2019 he has taken part in the Orvieto Festival of Strings. In 2023 he performed as a soloist for the Fondazione Musica Insieme, and in 2024 he made his solo debut performing Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy’s Violin Concerto in E minor with the Conservatory Orchestra at the Auditorium Manzoni in Bologna, receiving highly enthusiastic acclaim.

He has won First Absolute Prize in several national and international competitions, including “Alberghini” and “Anemos” in Rome. He also received First Absolute Prize at the International Elite Music Competition, which led to his debut at Carnegie Hall, where he also received a special jury award.
