In this second part of the Residual Ecologies project, Antonio Gaggiano propels us into an avant-garde sonic territory where rhythm meets the digital direction of Maurizio Azzan and Pasquale Lauro in the evocative setting of the Fruttiere of Palazzo Te. This is not a simple concert, but an immersive experience that explores the boundary between human gesture and technology.
In Davide Gagliardi’s Gravity does not Apply, the snare drum engages in dialogue with live electronics, challenging conventional perceptions of acoustic physics. In Azzan’s Of Debris and Dust, fragments of metal and found objects acquire a new and unexpected poetic voice: this is music born from the residues of our world, transforming debris and electrical impulses into a constantly evolving sonic landscape.
Within the historic walls of the Fruttiere of Palazzo Te, Gaggiano, Azzan, and Lauro construct a fascinating contrast between architectural space and sonic experimentation, inviting the audience to discover the hidden beauty of matter and the possibilities of a technological future that is already among us.
