The Noies Quartet invites us to a concert that speaks of gazes, nature, and inner landscapes. The programme opens with the Mediterranean freshness of Eduard Toldrà and his Vistes del mar. This music is like an open window onto the Catalan coast: inspired by poetry, it lets us feel the breath of the waves, the scent of salt in the air, and the vibrant light of the sun on the sea. It is a work full of colour, transforming the strings into a brush capable of painting the horizon.
From the coasts of Spain we move along the paths of a monumental garden with Plan and Elevation by Caroline Shaw, one of the most innovative and beloved voices in contemporary music. The music draws inspiration from the architecture and geometry of historic parks, building a fascinating dialogue between the rigour of forms and the life that blossoms among the paths. The musicians of the Noies Quartet, with great sensitivity, connect two different eras, offering us a sensory journey suspended between the reflections of the sea and the harmony of nature.
