Since 2023, the Noise String Quartet has been working under the mentorship of NSKA, regularly attending masterclasses with Marc Danel and other distinguished guest teachers, including Gilles Millet (Quatuor Danel), Simone Gramaglia (Quartetto di Cremona), and Luc-Marie Aguera (Quatuor Ysaye).
Among their first performances, a highlight of 2024 was their appearance at the String Quartet Biennale Amsterdam, where they had the honour of opening for the Belcea Quartet. Later that year, the ensemble was invited to join Le Dimore del Quartetto, and in May 2025, they made their Italian debut at the Trame Sonore Festival in Mantova.
Noise’s artistic vision is centered on championing female composers. The quartet is dedicated to researching and curating inclusive programs that weave together lesser-known works with the great masterpieces of the string quartet repertoire—creating new connections and addressing gaps in the mainstream musical narrative.
Formed by musicians from Italy, the Netherlands, South Korea, and Spain, the Noise String Quartet is currently based in The Hague and Antwerp.
