The Artchipel Orchestra turns Trame Sonore into a vibrant stage for the celebration of Frank Zappa’s irreverent genius.

In this first volume dedicated to the legendary American composer, the orchestra draws us into a kaleidoscope of sound where jazz, rock, and irony blend without interruption. The journey begins with the quirky, frenetic energy of St. Alfonzo’s Pancake Breakfast, then moves into the almost regal grandeur of The Grand Wazoo, a piece that highlights the full coloristic power and complexity of an exceptional big band.

There is also space for the enchanted melody of Blessed Relief, a moment of pure and expansive jazz beauty. Thanks to arrangements crafted by members of the ensemble themselves, the concert becomes an electrifying celebration, reminding us that Zappa’s music knows no boundaries or labels—only the endless pleasure of invention and surprise.
